Edna L. Kellerman, Frankenmuth, Michigan, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, went home with her Lord on December 27, 2014.
Edna Spitzer was born on December 12, 1915, in Kensal, North Dakota. She married Rev. Alvin Kellerman on July 24, 1934, he predeceased her in 1977. Edna was the church organist when she met the young preacher. AS the minister’s wife, she was involved in many church organizations over the years. She worked at Killians Department Store, also volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids working in the library for many years. She enjoyed traveling (visiting all 50 states), crocheting, knitting, working jigsaw puzzles and playing pinochle. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Edna is survived by two daughters, Jeanne (Harold) Braeutigam, Judy Naegele, both of Frankenmuth; a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Kellerman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren Linda (Steve) Kuhl, Steven (Dawn) Borcherding, David Borcherding, Michael Kellerman, Dr. Mark (Joy) Kellerman, and Janara (Sam) Bellanova; nine great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased in death by three sisters, six brothers, one son, Donald, and two sons-in-law, Lowell Borcherding and Alexander Naegele.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date at Trinity Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The family will receive visitors at 9:00 a.m. prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church or charity of your choice.
