Eldon Lawrence Pfab

Eldon Lawrence Pfab, 86, of Prairieburg, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. A Memorial Service will be held from 3 - 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City, Iowa. Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery in Prairieburg, Iowa.

Eldon was born on March 24, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Aloysius and Loretta (Hoffmann) Pfab. Eldon's life journey was deeply rooted in the values of hard work and dedication, which he exemplified through his lifelong commitment to agriculture. He attended school through the eighth grade, after which he chose to dedicate himself entirely to the family farm. This choice laid the foundation for a life filled with labor, love, and a deep connection to the land he cherished. Eldon will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Eldon is survived and lovingly remembered by his four children, Mitchell (Jodi) Pfab of Manchester, Iowa, Duane Pfab of Alburnett, Iowa, Karen (Roy) Pfab of Ankeny, Iowa, and Margaret Pfab of Chicago, Illinois; one granddaughter, Abigail Pfab of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and siblings, Donald Pfab of Coggon, Iowa, Clifford Pfab of Peosta, Iowa, Leona Roling of Dubuque, Iowa, and Elaine Tippett of Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leo and Paul Pfab; and one sister, Sally Trenkamp.
