Ellen M. Miller, 80, a resident of Crestview Acres, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the nursing home. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion. The family will greet friends 5-8 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, at the funeral home. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, Alburnett.
Survivors include her son, Larry (Karen) Miller of Washington; daughter, Allene (Earl) Covington of Marion; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and five sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Miller; four brothers; and two sisters.
Ellen was born July 19, 1929, in Tipton, Iowa, the daughter of George and Esther (Coay) Hawley. She married Earl Miller on July 27, 1947.
