Emily Helen Hendryx (Turek)

Emily Helen Hendryx of Tucson, 89, passed away peacefully in South Haven, MI, on Saturday, January 11, 2014. Emily was born to the late Frank and Bessie Turek, June 28, 1924, in Milligan, NE. Emily graduated from Geneva High School in 1941, and received a degree in nursing in 1946. She married Lloyd E. (Mike) Hendryx in 1949, and they lived in Nebraska and Iowa before relocating to Arizona in 1961.
Emily loved to read, garden, and spend time with her family. She also had a great sense of humor and loved to share her childhood memories.
Emily is preceded in death by her loving husband; brothers and sisters; and daughter, Ann Howard.
She is survived by her six children, Mary Josselyn of Artesia, NM, Betty Hendryx of South Haven, MI, Neil, Larry and Paul Hendryx of Tucson, AZ, and Donna Schepp of Covert, MI. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Emily will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, Iowa.
