Evangeline K. Coleman, 90, a resident of Mercy Hallmar, formerly of Coggon, died there, Friday, April 7, 2006. Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2006, at St. John?s Catholic Church in Coggon by Father Wayne Droessler. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City. Burial: Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Coggon.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Rosemary) Coleman of Cedar Rapids and Russell (Cathy) Coleman of Williamsburg; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Mary Behan.

Evangeline was born July 19, 1915, the daughter of Dennis and Kathryn (Reilly) Smith in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Coggon High School. Evangeline married Raymond E. Coleman in 1936. He died May 7, 1981.

Evangeline was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, St. John?s Catholic Church in Coggon and the Altar and Rosary Society at St. John?s.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
