Evelyn D. Bush, 88, of Manchester, Iowa died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at the Regional Medical Center, Manchester, after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, Manchester, with the Pastor Dale Critchley officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Manchester.
Evelyn was born October 4, 1917, Manchester, Iowa the daughter of Oris & Etta (Stone) Miller. She attended country school in rural Oneida. On April 12, 1956, Evelyn was united in marriage to Rob O. Bush in East Dubuque, Illinois. The couple settled in the Colesburg area before moving to their home in Oneida in 1959.
Evelyn loved animals and enjoyed the simple life of cooking, sewing and working in her flower garden. She will be remembered as a giving person and a loving mother and grandmother.
Evelyn is survived by two sons and their wives, Don & Uncha Collender of Clinton, Iowa and Dennis & Judy Bush of Oneida, Iowa; three grandchildren, Robin Bush, Ronnie and Randy Collender; one great - grandson, Cody Collender; and a sister, Berdina Carradus of Manchester.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Oris & Etta Miller; her husband, Rob Bush; and four brothers, Harvey, Harold, Melvin and Donald Miller; and three sisters, Dorothy Miller, Gladys Pugh, and Etta Stone.
