Gerald "Jerry" James Pitcher

Gerald “Jerry” James Pitcher, 83, of Delhi, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at St. Lukes in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The family will hold a Visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Delhi Methodist Church in Delhi. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at church with the Pastor Zach Rogers officiating. Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester assisted the family.

Jerry Pitcher was born on June 11, 1942, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Ronald Dimond and Dorothy May (Cole) Pitcher. He graduated from high school and later married Beverly Miles on October 7, 1962, at the Delhi Methodist Church in Delhi, Iowa. Together they were blessed with two children.

Jerry was employed by Ferrell Gas Company, where he worked as a Driver Trainer until his retirement. A devoted member of the Delhi Methodist Church, he served as Trustee Chairman for 14 years, participated on various church committees, and played a key role in establishing the Delhi Thrift Store.

Throughout his life, Jerry was dedicated to hard work, service, and helping others. He deeply valued time spent with his family and friends. Jerry will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beverly Pitcher of Delhi; children, Michelle (Brendon) Porter of Delhi, Bryon (Dawn) Pitcher of Marengo; and his grandchildren, Jaiden and Ashtyn Porter, and Jenna (John) Glawe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald D. and Dorothy Pitcher; and by his brothers, Ronald M., LaVerne, and Duane Pitcher.
