Gerald "Gary? W. Robinson, 63, of Dundee, died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, following a short illness.
Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2006 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester. A private family burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
Gary was born November 6, 1942 in Manchester, the son of Walter & Alice (Wolfe) Robinson. He attended school in Dundee and graduated from West Delaware High School in 1960. Gary served in the National Guard. On July 26, 1962, Gary was united in marriage to Dona Hartgrave in Cedar Rapids. He worked for Wilson Packing and Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids. In 1972, Gary went to work for John Deere in Dubuque. He retired in 2002 after thirty years.
Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Gary is survived by his wife, Dona Robinson of Dundee; two children, Rick (Barb) Robinson and Coni (Scott) Neuhaus, both of Dundee; six grandchildren, Nickie (Joey) Quint, Corey Meyer, Aaron Robinson, Ryan, Kaity and Adam Neuhaus; a great-grandson, Gabe Quint; three brothers, Calvin (Erma) Robinson and Keith (Linda) Robinson, both of Manchester and Kyle (Chris) Robinson of Marion; his mother-in-law, Irene Hartgrave of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Beverly (Marv) Houser of Walford; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by a daughter, Tami Lynn Robinson; his parents, Walt & Alice Robinson; and his father-in-law, Clarence Hartgrave.
