Gloria Wingerson, 44, of 5650 Vermont Street S.W., Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, March 19, 2006, in Mercy Medical Center, from complications of asthma. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Captain Dawn Hayman. The family will greet friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2006, at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Scott Wingerson; her parents, Miguel and Juanita Alcaraz; five sons, Jose Gonzalez, Michael Pavano, Adam Wingerson, Austin Wingerson, and Aaron Wingerson; two daughters, Monica Sanchez and Saralee Wingerson; two brothers, Santiago Sanchez and Danny Alcaraz both of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Mary McGlashing of Cedar Rapids, Dora Streicher of Cedar Falls, and Elizabeth Garcia of Tennessee.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Drake Gonzalez, Antonio Gonzalez, and Hailey Mae Sanchez; and 15 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jesus Alcaraz.

Gloria was born February 26, 1962, in Brownsville, Texas, the daughter of Miguel and Juanita (Rodriguez) Alcaraz. On December 4, 1993, she was united in marriage to Scott Wingerson in Cedar Rapids. She was employed as a kitchen assistant at the Salvation Army. Gloria enjoyed scrap booking and stamping.
