Harold W. Case, 81, a resident of Summit Point Retirement Community, Marion, died Sunday, September 20, 2009, at Northbrook Manor, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2009, at College Avenue Friends Church, 912 N.C Street, Oskaloosa, Iowa. Inurnment: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2009, Byron-Amorita Cemetery, Amorita, Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife, Donice; a daughter, Lindel (Mark) Settle; 2 grandchildren, Joshua (Kirsten) Settle and Jacob Settle; 1 brother, Floyd (Pat) Case, and 1 sister, Dolores (Albert) Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, Lana June Case, and 6 brothers.
Harold was born January 11, 1928, the son of Bert and Fanny (Wilson) Case, in Byron, Oklahoma. He married Donice McIntire on August 29, 1948, in Byron, Oklahoma. Harold was a high school teacher and principal in Ashland, Kansas, and was a College Administrator & Professor at William Penn College in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, loyal brother, trusted friend, respected employee, and avid golfer. He will be missed.
