Helen L. Woodford

Helen L. Woodford, 90, of the Keystone Cedars Assisted Living Center, Cedar Rapids, died there Saturday, May 27, 2006, from complications of alzheimers. Services: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Dr. Glenn Hunt. The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2006, at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Virgil; a son, Phillip Woodford of Great Falls, MT.; a daughter, Marcia (Clark) Levsen of Shawnee, KS.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Patricia Bridges and Millicent Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Hilda Benda and Maxine Smith.
Helen was born August 16, 1915, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Max and Therese (Breuer) Schaefer. On October 10, 1936, she was united in marriage to Virgil Woodford.
