Ida E. Grubbs, 99, longtime resident of Center Point, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007, in New Orange Hills, Orange, California, from complications of pneumonia. Funeral services will be held in Iowa at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point.
Ida is survived by one daughter, Jetta McGary of Anheim Hills, CA; one grandson, Michael McGary; and a great-granddaughter, Kelly McGary.
Ida was born August 10, 1907, in Benton County, the daughter of Norman E. and Philomena (Stark) Miller. On May 15, 1929, Ida was united in marriage to Marion M. Grubbs at Spencers Grove, Iowa. She taught school in Center Point for twenty-nine years.
