Ivadene Whitman, 79, of 376 20th St., died Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at home. Graveside Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2007, at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Clayton Center by Rev. Ron Yarnell. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Maurice of Marion; her son, Gary (Diane) Whitman of Marion; her daughter, Gaye (Dennis) Van Hamme of Grinnell; three granddaughters, Laura, LeAnn, and Tammie; and a great-grandson, Kylar.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ilene June Kelpien.
Ivadene was born August 16, 1928, the daughter of Carl and Hattie (Kahlbaum) Kelpien. She married Maurice Whitman in Cedar Rapids.
She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Clayton Center.
