Ivan Richardson, 79, of Coggon, died Saturday, April 8, 2006, at St. Luke?s Hospital, following a short illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at Zion Presbyterian Church in Coggon by Rev. Kurt D. Walker. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City and one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment: Coggon Cemetery, at a later date.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela; his son, Duane of Marion; his granddaughter, Rachel Richardson of Robins; two brothers, Paul (Winona) Richardson of Manchester and Louis (Dee) Richardson of Loveland, Colorado; and two sisters, Jean (Freeman) Smith of Manchester and Margaret (Wilbur) Pillard of Coggon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Emma (Zumbach) Richardson; three sisters, Blanche (as a child), Marjorie Aldrich and Doris Black.

Ivan was born November 28, 1926 and spent his entire life on the family farm east of Coggon. He was also a salesman of hybrid seed corn and hogs. Ivan married Pamela Spinler July 3, 1971 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua and together they enjoyed farming. They moved to Coggon in October of 1998. Together they spent time traveling, having twice been to Europe, Minnesota fishing and Big League Baseball. Ivan was an ardent woodworker and built many farm sets for kids in the area. Ivan dearly loved his wife Pamela, son Duane and his pride and joy, granddaughter, Rachel. He will be missed by all who knew him.
