Jackie Duffy

Loretta Jacquelyn Duffy (“Jackie”) passed away on May 9, 2026, at Heritage Specialty Care in Cedar Rapids following a long illness. The family will host a celebration of Jackie’s life at a future date. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids assisted the family.

Jackie was born on March 11, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Edward and Catherine (Leonard) Duffy. Cedar Rapids was Jackie’s home from the age of 11. Jackie was sweet and gentle, treating everyone she met with kindness and respect. In her younger years, when her health allowed, she was a volunteer for a nonprofit group that provided companionship for elderly residents in the city she loved.

Jackie is survived by sisters Kathy (Dale), Jan (Bob) and BettyLou, by brothers Marty and Frank, and by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by older brother Edward (Diane).
