James W. Pugmire

James W. Pugmire, 59, of Manchester and formerly of Delhi, Iowa, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at the Regional Medical Center, Manchester, after a sudden illness.
Visitation is from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester.
James was born on September 8, 1946, in Van Nuys, California, the son of Paul W. & Virginia Pugmire. He attended Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. James worked for Rockwell Collins and was co-owner of Pugmire Construction, both in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He retired in 1972. In the late 1980?s, James moved to Delhi, Iowa, and operated Star-Sat Electronics. He moved the business to rural Manchester in 2003.
James is survived by his daughter, Lisa Sherman of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter, Mikayla Sherman; one half-brother, David Lentner of Cedar Rapids; and three half-sisters, Penny Hand of Tama, Linda Davis of Marshalltown and Sheryl Friedman of Ottumwa.
James was preceded by his parents, Paul W. & Virginia Pugmire.
