Jane Anne Boies
November 24, 1944 — July 12, 2007
Jane Anne Boies, 62, of 1393 40th St. NE, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 12, 2007. The family will greet friends from 2-6 p.m. Saturday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion to be followed by a Celebration of Life which begins at 6:00 p.m. by Rev. Rick Gail. Private family burial: Quasqueton Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Tim (Tammy) Boies of Toddville, Mark (Joy) Boies of Urbana, and Cami (Steven) Cherryholmes of Urbana; her parents, Everett and Marion Nelson of Independence; and grandchildren, PFC Amy, Brittney, and Paul Boies, Andrew and Austin Boies, Alan Pence, Alanna and Nathan Cherryholmes.
Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Sharon Thompson of Independence, Judy Roberts of Independence, Margaret Ownby of Independence, Patricia Davidson of Ashland, Oregon, Connie Harris of Cedar Rapids, Douglas Nelson of Tampa, Florida, Dean Nelson of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Brian Nelson of Fletcher, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul.
Jane was born November 24, 1944, the daughter of Everett and Marian (Kress) Nelson in Walker. She graduated from East Buchanan High School. On April 4, 1964, she married Paul Boies in Strawberry Point, Iowa. He died in 1982.
Jane will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt.
