Jason Glen Trout, 43, of Decorah, Iowa, formerly of Center Point, Iowa, died Thursday, November 25, 2021, at his home. A visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. A celebration of Jason's life will be held in Decorah at a later date. Jason was born June 15, 1978, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Terry and Connie (Edaburn) Trout. He graduated from Center Point-Urbana High School and went on to receive a dual major in philosophy and political science with an entrepreneurial certificate from the University of Iowa. Jason was the Iowa Men’s Basketball manager for four years; he enjoyed his time at the University of Iowa. Jason loved nature and living in beautiful Decorah.
Survivors include his children, Rowan and Saer Trout; brothers, Matt (Keeli) Trout of Cedar Rapids and Cory Trout of Hiawatha, Iowa; nieces, Hayleigh, Jaida, Aydra, Brielle, Skylea, Liliana, and Willow; and mother of his children, Alicia Weinberger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Connie Trout; and nephew, Matthew Trout II.
