Jeanne L. Morgan, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Funeral Mass: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church by Father Mark Reasoner. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids where a prayer service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her three daughters, Therese (David) Long of Cochise, Arizona, Cheryl Lynn (Tom) Happ of Cedar Rapids, and Pat (Dave) Vik of Kiowa, Colorado; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn in 1997; her parents, James and Della Chaplin; and her sister, Harriet Apsey.

Jeanne was born May 31, 1924, the daughter of James & Della (Peterson) Chaplin in England. On April 4, 1945, she married Glenn Morgan in England. She was a nurse for England’s Royal Air Force and an Ambulance Driver during WWII.
