Jeffrey “Alan” Cron, 60, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Seattle, Washington, died Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Burial will take place at a later date at Mt. Clark Cemetery in Central City, Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Alan was born August 22, 1961, in Corning, Iowa, the son of Lloyd and Atha “Kitty” (Cross) Cron. He was a handyman and enjoyed etching mirrors.
Survivors include his mother, Kitty Johnson of Cedar Rapids; his biological father; siblings, Pam Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Robyn Warren of Corning, California, Julie McIntyre of Bayfield, Colorado, Sheryl Vaughn of Cedar Rapids, and William “Bill” Johnson Jr. of Bloomington Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Johnson Sr.; brother, Scott Johnson; and sister, Joni Miller.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Waypoint Homeless Services in Cedar Rapids.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Teresa of Behavioral Health with UnityPoint Hospital.
