Jeffrey “Jeff” Howard Frasher, 69, of Walker, Iowa, passed away of natural causes on Thursday, September 28, 2025, at his home. A private Celebration of Life will be held on November 2, 2025, in tribute of his 70th birthday. Birthday cards with kind remarks, photos, and fond memories of Jeff are encouraged to be sent to: PO Box 405 Walker, IA 52352. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jeff's loving memory to the Cedar Valley Pitbull Rescue (where he and JoAnne adopted their beloved cat Romi), or a local animal shelter of choice.

Jeff was born on November 2, 1955, in Independence, Iowa, the son of George and Marilynne (Baty) Frasher. On July 13, 1991, Jeff was united in marriage to JoAnne Harry at the Spring Grove Church in Coggon, Iowa. Jeff's forty-four-year career at the Linn County Secondary Road Department, where he began in 1973, until his retirement in 2017, exemplified by his strong, humble, and earnest work ethic and that was a testament to the values of hard work and perseverance he was raised on.

He endeared himself to many with his crude jokes and his warm personality, traits that made him a people person. He had a special love for the timber and the outdoors, often seeking solace in nature. Jeff took immense joy in his hobbies and tinkering. He was fond of cats and found happiness in spending time with and talking to his children and was often spoiling his grandkids with affection and attention. His enthusiasm for life was evident in his passion for watching westerns, detective shows, Star Trek, and the like, which provided him with cherished moments of entertainment. Jeff was known for being a great cook, particularly famous for his cakes and casseroles. His creativity in the kitchen led him to experiment with various foods, sharing his culinary delights with those around him. He leaves behind cherished memories and an indelible mark on the lives he touched. His laughter, kindness, and dedication to family and community will always be remembered with warmth and gratitude. Jeff will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jeff is survived and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 34 years, JoAnne Frasher; children, Ivy (Dan) Kiernan of Gurnee, Illinois, Seth Frasher of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Iris (Tyler Pyle) Frasher of Windsor Hights, Iowa; grandchildren, John Sandager, Andrew Zourkas, and Isabel Dryden; siblings, Erin (John) Victor, Ginger (Jeffrey) Hazen, Tara (Ken) McKelvey, and Megan Frasher; and many grand fur babies.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marilee Kinney.
