Jeffrey “Jeff” David Rocho, 58, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on September 24, 2025, surrounded by family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Jeff was born on April 17, 1967, in Hackensack, New Jersey, to Kenneth and Patricia Rocho, Jeff grew up in Chicago and graduated from Oak Forest High School. Shortly after, he proudly served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, with deployments that included Panama and Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. His discipline and sense of duty stayed with him long after he hung up the uniform.

Jeff worked as a delivery driver for AE Dairy over a career that spanned 24 years. Whether on the road for work or on one of his beloved road trips, Jeff loved being behind the wheel. He had visited 48 of the states and golfed in all of them. He had a knack for finding quirky roadside stops and could turn even the simplest drive into an adventure.

A devoted fan of the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Notre Dame football, Jeff had an encyclopedic knowledge of players, stats, and sports history. He was also an avid collector — stamps, cans, and mementos that marked the passage of time — and a steady reader who could spend hours with a good book. He loved golf, but what he loved most was his family.

Jeff is survived by his children Courtney (Jacob) Johnson-Rocho, Kiersten Rocho, and Cody Rocho; and by his adorable granddaughters, Cecelia and Coraline, who brought him endless pride and joy. He is also survived by his siblings, Beverly (Marvin) Moore, Kenny (Debbie) Rocho, Pamela Colby, and David Rocho, along with many extended family and friends who will remember his humor, his stubborn streak, and his big heart.

Above all, Jeff would want to be remembered as a proud and devoted father. His children were his greatest accomplishment, and his love for them was unwavering.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages friends to share a memory, tell a story, or raise a glass in Jeff’s honor.
