Jilane Leigh Harnish, 39, of 2009 O Avenue N.W., Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, October 27, 2005, in her mother?s home after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. Services: 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 31, 2005, at First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Dr. Kay Slocum. The family will greet friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Survivors include her children, Jacob and Jordan; her parents Connie (Barry) Sanders and Doug (Diane) Janda; three sisters, Lisa (Archie) Abben of Fairfax, Kristi (Blake) Homewood of Cedar Rapids, and Mindy (Darwin) Carstensen of Anamosa; grandmother, Bessie Janda; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Dorothy Bruch, and Bud Janda; and great nephew, Blaine Luzum
Jilane was born the daughter of Douglas and Connie (Bruch) Janda in Cedar Rapids on November 30, 1965. She graduated from Jefferson High School and provided day care in her home for many children.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Eagles Auxilary #2272
