Jill E Sage

Jill E. (Cislaghi) Sage, of Marion, Iowa, died peacefully on July 22, 2026, in the home of beloved friends, Linda and Kurt Livingston. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church (2210 Grand Avenue, Marion, Iowa 52302). Inurnment will be held later at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

Jill was born on April 5, 1955, in Quincy, Massachusetts, the daughter of Ernest and Marguerite (Killoran) Cislaghi. She graduated from Duxbury High School, where she excelled as an athlete. Jill went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Regis University in Weston, Massachusetts. She worked as a social worker and lovingly cared for Judy as her caretaker for 13 years. Jill enjoyed music and was a singer-songwriter. She also loved caring for her houseplants, watching movies, spending time with family, and photography.

She was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Marion, and had many dear friends there, for whom she was grateful to God. To my church friends, “thank you for being the best example of who God wants us to be, disciples of Christ.”

Jill had fought a long battle with cancer, was at peace, and will be missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her sister, Jennifer Rinas; brother, Justin Cislaghi; nephews, Joshua (Jennifer) Rinas, Justin (Molly) Rinas, Ernest Cislaghi; great-nieces, Eleanor Rinas and Margaret Rinas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jeffrey Cislaghi; and nephew, Matthew Rinas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Ascension Lutheran Church or UnityPoint Hospice.
