Jim Pulliam

Jim Pulliam, 87, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, December 13, 2025. In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids assisted the family.

Jim was born on November 27, 1938, in Horatio, Arkansas. He graduated from Robbinsdale Cooper High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota Jim honorably served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam from 1958 until 1966. He married Phylis Jean Baltisberger on June 4, 1988, in Malcom, Iowa. Jim worked as a supervisor for General Mills in Cedar Rapids for 39 years, retiring in 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Phylis Pulliam of Cedar Rapids; his children, Crystal Pulliam of Davenport, Iowa, Dan Pulliam of Cedar Rapids, and Jim Pulliam of North Liberty, Iowa; his stepdaughter, Melissa Glade of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Tara (Andy) Cavin, Ron Asby, Christopher Norberg, Ashley Ashburn, Natasha Ochs, Kelsey Ochs, Matthue Pulliam, Jon Gross, Richard Pulliam, and Cherise Zuck; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn; and his sons, Gary Pulliam and Scott Pulliam.
