Joann Lorena Luedeman (Kiefer) (Peck), 74, of Vinton, Iowa, died Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Kathy (John Scherbring) Burks, Jeff (Shay) Peck, Terry (Donna) Peck, Donald (Brenda) Peck, Eric (Vernedia) Luedeman, Darla (Richard) Kremenak, Jo Luedeman, Bruce (Marci) Luedeman and Lynn (Mike) Orwig; 28 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Marie) Kiefer; sister, Anna Mae Estle; and her very special dog, Chewey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Eugene.
Joann was born February 6, 1941, the daughter of Clarence and Bertha (Buch) Kiefer, in Keota, Iowa. On June 24, 1973, she married Eugene Luedeman. He died November 30, 2010. Joann started working for CRST in 1971, retiring in 2008. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Joann cherished her dog, Chewey and her family. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, canning, reading and collecting poodles.
