John K. Wiese, 79, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Friday, May 1, 2026, at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood, 520 Wilson Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids.
John was born on January 30, 1947, the son of Donald and Ava (Nielson) Wiese. He graduated from Anamosa High School in Anamosa, Iowa in 1965. John married Sharon R. Lipcamon. He had a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and worked at Rockwell Collins as an engineer, retiring after 43 years of service.
Survivors include his children, Clint (Sara) Wiese of Cedar Rapids and their son, Mitchell and Christine Wiese of Marion and her children, Trace (Abigail) Whitlock, Tyson Whitlock, Tryton Whitlock, and Traxon Whitlock.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sharon in 2017.
