Karen Pollock, 64, of Center Point, died, Tuesday, April 11, 2006, suddenly, in her home. Memorial Services: 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, by Rev. John Caughron. Family will greet friends after 4:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her children, Dwight (Leslie) Pollock of Van Horne, Daniel (Paula) Pollock of Center Point, and Deborah Huffman of Mt. Vernon; seven grandchildren, Roger, Dain, and Danielle Pollock, Joseph and Amber Pollock, Kara and Joshua Huffman; a great-granddaughter, Brandi Witt; a brother, Donald Sawyer of Center Point; a sister, Loretta Dufoe of Mesa, Arizona; and Tony Huffman of Mt. Vernon.
Karen was born April 27, 1941, the daughter of Merl and Martha Sawyer, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A graduate from Center Point High School, she worked in electronics for Rockwell and Norand. Karen enjoyed gardening, bowling, woodworking, painting and scuba diving. She also loved her horse "Apache.?
She was preceded in death by her parents.
