Karen S. (Turnbow) Shakespeare, 51, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away suddenly Sunday, January 6, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids. There will be a viewing in Iowa and she will be brought home for a viewing and funeral services in Dayton, Ohio.
Survivors include her husband, Bryan Shakespeare of Palo; mother, Judy Bisceglia of Ohio; brothers, Robert Bisceglia II, David (Sue) Bisceglia and Mark (Angie) Bisceglia all of Ohio; father and mother-in-law, David and Mary Shakespeare; brothers-in-law, Bruce Shakespeare and Gary and Patrice Shakespeare; sister-in-law, Teresa and Jim Leibold; nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert J. Bisceglia; biological father, James Turnbow; grandparents, Patricia and Robert Whitford, Frances and Wilma Biscelia; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Mable Turnbow.
Karen was born July 9, 1961, in Lobleville, Tennessee, daughter of Robert and Judy Bisceglia. She attended school in Dayton, Ohio. Karen drove a dump truck for a paving company, then Dominos Pizza, and then later worked as a manager of a truck stop. She married Bryan Shakespeare on February 9, 2009, in Midway. She loved NASCAR, riding quads, fishing, going to concerts and gambling. Karen was a great cook and enjoyed doing that. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
