Kathryn Leola Bures, 86, of Vinton, Iowa, formerly of Walker, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007, in the Lutheran Home in Vinton, following an extended illness. Graveside Services: 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2007, at the Quasqueton Cemetery, Quasqueton, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point.
Survivors include her daughter, Audrey (Bob) Rouse of Vinton; granddaughter, Kelsey Lee Rouse of Vinton; brother, Leslie Zimpfer of Omaha, Nebraska; and sisters, Evelyn Bures of Rowley, Frances Kelly of Van Horne and Sandra and husband De Thomas of Roanoke, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; brother, Wilbur Zimpfer; sister, Marian Ary; and an infant brother, Elmer.
Kathryn was born May 6, 1921, in Walker, Iowa, the daughter of Horace and Alta (Ensminger) Zimpfer. On November 23, 1946, she married Robert Bures in Independence, Iowa.
Kathryn farmed with her husband near Urbana and Walker. She loved quilting, gardening, puzzles and helping others. She always had a cup of coffee and cookie for anyone who would stop by.
Though it hurts to say goodbye, and we will miss you dearly, you deserve a special place in Heaven. Love you always, your family.
