K. C. Levsen 54, of Marion, died Friday, July 13, 2007, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Memorial Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2007, at River of Life Church, 3801 Blairs Ferry Road N.E., Cedar Rapids, by Rev. Brian Fink. The family will greet friends Sunday, July 15, 2007, from 12 Noon to 3:00 p.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion. Inurnment: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Surviving are two daughters, Sara (Brad) Hayes and Rebecca Benedict; her father, Jay (Mavis) Levsen; two brothers, Mark (Kathy) Levsen and Matt (Janice) Levsen; and three sisters, Jan Levsen, Joan Villalpando and M.E. Zahorik.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Rachel Westergren, Craig Hayes, Matthew Benedict and Ruth Benedict; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Geottsch.
K. C. was born the daughter of Jay and Elizabeth (Geottsch) Levsen on October 30, 1952, in Anamosa. She was a member of River of Life Church and worked at Aegon for nine years.
She was a great Mom, an excellent grandma, who enjoyed spoiling her grandkids and a loving friend.
A memorial fund has been established in K.C.'s memory.
