Kearney A. Vogel, 88, of Living Center East, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following a short illness.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 24, 2005 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids by Rev. Bernard Reece. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Kearney is survived by a daughter, Shirley Klaus of Downers Grove, IL; nine grandchildren, Kendra Kisling, Bradley Greiner, Kimberly Vogel, Lori Wilcoxson, Brian Vogel, Mark Vogel, Suzanne Lurvey, Paul Klaus and Steven Klaus; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; and three children, Jeanette Greiner, John Vogel and Richard Vogel.
Kearney was born June 9, 1917 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of James & Elizabeth (Turnbell) McMahon. On June 17, 1935, Kearney was united in marriage to Richard F. Vogel in Cedar Rapids. He died October 5, 1978. Kearney worked as a homemaker.
