Kelly Dean Fister

Kelly Dean Fister, 59, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Family will greet friends from 12 - 2 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. A celebration of life will begin at 2 p.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Jefferson Cemetery in Jefferson, Iowa.

Kelly was born on December 12, 1966, in Davenport, Iowa, to Richard and Marian (Potter) Fister. He attended West High School in Davenport. Kelly enjoyed a variety of pursuits, including fishing, boating, foraging for morel mushrooms, attending races, car racing, restoring cars, woodworking, looking after his Pugs, and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his brother, Mark (Dawn) Fister of Britt, Iowa; sister, Beth Bluedorn (John Guidinger) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; six stepchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl Fister; grandparents, and great-nephew, Carl Mark Vens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
