Kevin H. Lewis
November 8, 1960 — December 11, 2021
Kevin H. Lewis, 61, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. The family will lead a Celebration of Life from 3 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at IBEW Local 405 located at 1211 Wiley Boulevard SW, Cedar Rapids. A private family service was held and burial will take place at a later date this spring in Shawver Cemetery in Cedar Bluff, Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Kevin was born November 8, 1960, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, the son of Henry and Kathleen (McClellan) Lewis. In 1979, he graduated from Tipton High School. Kevin enjoyed his job and teammates as Light Equipment Operator for Linn County Road Crew. Kevin cherished his three boys, two dogs, his much valued friends and family, and his beloved Cubs, Bears, and Hawkeyes.
Survivors include his children, Devin (Bre) Lewis of West Branch, Eric Lewis of West Branch, and Daniel Lewis of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Beckett, Seamus, and Rory; brother, Robert (Peggy) Lewis of Cedar Rapids; and dogs, Patrick and Murphy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggi Lewis in 2020; and parents, Hank in 2009 and Kathy Lewis in 2011.
