Kimberly Gay Meier (Whalen)
June 23, 1960 — October 6, 2006
Kimberly Gay Meier, 46, of 3325 Dunham Dr. SW, Cedar Rapids, died Friday, October 6, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a terminal illness. Private Services will be held. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Randy; her children, Tiffany Meier and Chad Meier, both of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Shayla Jameson and Ava Meier; two sisters, Debbie (Tom) Murphy of Cedar Rapids and Cindy (Dave) Plotz of Marengo; two nieces, Coree Packingham and Christy Rasmussen; a nephew, Ryan Rasmussen; and her beloved dogs, Scrap, Dink and Bud.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kim was born June 23, 1960, the daughter of Marvin and Irene (Artisuk) Whalen, in Manchester, Iowa. On May 18, 1984, she was united in marriage to Randy Meier. Kim was a manager at Taco John?s Restaurant. Kim enjoyed spending time with her dogs, fishing with her family and friends, shooting pool, bowling and the outdoors. She will forever be in our hearts and our prayers.
