Kloie Daleen Lehman, 24, of Shueyville, Iowa, ran into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with her family by her side.

Kloie was born on May 22, 2001, in Cedar Rapids to Bill and Cheryl (Brodt) Lehman. God created Kloie special, which limited her abilities here on earth, but did not limit the number of lives she touched. She was born with a rare diagnosis of holoprosencephaly and lived far beyond what was expected, miraculously surviving some serious health issues. She went through a lot in her short 24 years, but despite all her challenges, she fought with grace and often a smile, even until the end when she was called to her eternal home where her limitations are no more. She loved everyone she met unconditionally, and we believe had a genuine relationship with her Lord without all the worries of the world interfering. She loved school (graduating from Prairie in 2019), going to Kyra’s and Kollin’s performances and activities, listening to music, watching movies, shopping, taking walks, being cuddled (she was the best), her dad’s voice, and time with mom studying the Bible. She touched many lives and taught everyone who knew her without saying a word. She taught us about unconditional love, joy despite circumstances, resilience, patience, and most of all to have the faith of a child. She was not what her family expected nor would have asked for, but she was truly a blessing, and we are so very thankful God gave us almost 25 years with her. She was a bright light of Jesus in this world, and her light will continue to shine through all those who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13 at Prairie Bible Church, 9255 Atlantic Drive SW, Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, at the church. Burial will follow at Rogers Grove Cemetery in Ely, Iowa. Since this will be a celebration of her beautiful Spirit, please feel free to wear whatever color you feel led to (black is not necessary).

Survivors include her parents, Bill and Cheryl Lehman; sister, Kyra (Seth) Engen; brother, Kollin Lehman; grandmother, Rena Brodt; grandfather, Russ Lehman; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

It is said it takes a village to raise a child, but Kloie required 24-hour care, so it took a city! There were many caregivers, nurses, doctors, teachers, paras and therapists that were a huge part of her life. Her family would like to express their profound gratitude to all of them and many will forever be a part of our extended family. We love you!

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dale Brodt, Mary Lehman, and Beverly and Wade Mullin and Uncle Grier Mills.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mason’s Light House, PO Box 217, North Liberty, IA.
