Laura Yvonne Hernandez

Laura Yvonne Hernandez, 52, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Laura was born on November 23, 1973, in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Luis Hernandez De Anda and Martha Alicia Ramirez. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Laura had many interests, including painting, journaling, crocheting, knitting, sewing, and going on nature walks at the local trails. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Laura is survived and lovingly remembered by her five children, Emilio Rodriguez, José Hernandez, Raul Barroso, Steven Hernandez, and Kiki Rodriguez; mother, Martha Ramirez; and siblings, Rosie Hernandez, Jovana Madrigal, Luis Hernandez, Mashaah Ayesh, and Hosen Ayesh.

She was preceded in death by her father.
