Laura Ann McClure, 50, of Marion, passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday, April 4, 2017. A Parish Vigil Service will begin at 3:30 p.m. followed by visitation from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion, conducted by Father David O’Connor and Father Mark Weber. Inurnment immediately following mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Laura is survived by her husband, David McClure III; son, Joshua (Tiffany Novreske) McClure of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Katherine “Katie” McClure of Marion; mother, Mary Weber of Dyersville; sisters, Jeanne (Al) Kluesner of Dubuque, Ann (Dale) Their of Cedar Rapids, Joan Weber of Omaha, Nebraska, and Marilyn (Mike) Mootz of Waterloo; brothers, Father Mark Weber of Chicago, Illinois and Michael Weber of Worthington; and many nieces and nephews.
Laura was preceded in death by her father, Frank Weber.
Laura was born March 31, 1967, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Koopman) Weber. On August 24, 1991, in Dyersville, Iowa, she was united in marriage to David McClure III. Laura owned and operated her own business as a virtual office assistant. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion.
