LaVonne “Bonnie” Frasher, 75, of 2410 Kelly St SW Cedar Rapids, died following complications from pneumonia on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids, where the family will greet friends from 11:00 am until the time of service. Rev. William B. Harnish will officiate. Burial: at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors of Bonnie include her sons, Robert Frasher Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Rick (Pam Haas) Frasher of Manchester; siblings, Michael (Patricia) McKenna of Tennessee, Patrick McKenna of California, John McKenna of Colorado, Lana Homewood of Cedar Rapids and Linda (Terry) Lewis of Monticello; son-in-law, Bruce Miller of Florida; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful dog, T.J.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her former Husband of 35 years, Robert Sr. and companion, David “Red” Hedin; her parents, John and Goldie McKenna; a daughter, Kathleen Miller; a son, Daniel; and sister-in-law, Cyndee McKenna.
Bonnie was born on April 15, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of John and Goldie (Ross) McKenna. She had a green thumb and enjoyed animals of all kinds.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Humane Society.
