Lee Elizabeth Flood, 92, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Terrace Glen Village in Marion. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion.

Lee was born on February 14, 1933, in Sheeaune, County Mayo, Ireland, the daughter of Michael and Annie “Baby” Neary. Lee immigrated to the United States from Ireland in 1949 at age 16 and lived with her Foley cousins upon her arrival. In 1957, she was united in marriage to Andy Flood at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Brooklyn, New York.

Together, Lee and Andy shared a love of travel, with Andy’s career taking the couple to corners of the world, from Hong Kong to Malaysia, Australia to Alaska, Seattle to much of Europe, and on cruises throughout the Mediterranean. Lee devoted herself to raising their children in Massapequa, New York, before the family relocated to Iowa in 1978 for Andy’s career with Rockwell Collins Avionics Division. She worked for Linn-Mar Schools in the cafeteria for 20 years and enjoyed working with the other lunch ladies. The couple then lived in Davenport, Florida, for 17 years before returning to Marion.

Devoted to her husband for 62 years, Lee had a special love for babies and young children. She enjoyed game shows and westerns and was an avid animal lover, cherishing all animals, especially her cat, Kitty, and her beloved basset hounds, Trouble and Barney, and her grand dogs. Lee will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lee is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons, Kevin and Michael (Brandi); daughters, Eileen (Kelly) Yeisley and Kathleen (Keith) Wilson; nine grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) Flood, Lacy (Spenser) Flanagan-Eulberg, McKenna and Keenan Flood, Andrew (Charlie) Yeisley, Conor Yeisley (Fiancé, Rachel), and Kallie and Kennedy Wilson, and Kylee (James) Jamson; six great-grandchildren, Jesse and Jamie Yeisley, Asher Yeisley, Nolan and Nathan Flood, and Jace Jamson; siblings, Ann Connell, Kathleen Dinan, Patricia Smith, and Josephine Veith; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andy, in 2020; a granddaughter, Kelcey Wilson; and siblings, John Joseph, Mary Ellen, Michael, Thomas, Rita, Patrick, and Andy.
