Leo Joseph Miller, 50, a resident of the Abbe Center for Community Care, died there Thursday, April 6, 2006, following a short illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Steve Rosanke. Visitation will be from 12-1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his mother, Maureen of Cedar Rapids; a brother, David (Pat) Miller of Shellsburg; four sisters, Elizabeth (Mike) Bauer of Garland, Texas, Teresa (Rick) Leuenberger of Cedar Rapids, Bridgette Usher of Cedar Rapids and Earleen (Cam) Kick of Center Point; and many nieces, nephews and one grand-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert and a sister, Helen.
Leo was born December 24, 1955, the son of Robert and Maureen (Power) Miller in Cedar Rapids. He formerly worked at Mid Continent Bottling and Mid-Land Forge. Leo loved animals, had a green thumb and was very artistic, excelling in sketching and oil pastels.
