Lester L. Crosier, 88, formerly of Manchester, Iowa, died Monday evening, December 19, 2005, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home, Edgewood, after a short illness.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, December 23, 2005, at the Golden Congregational Church, rural Ryan, Iowa. Friends may call an hour before the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Upper Bay Cemetery in rural Delhi.
The Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
Lester was born February 8, 1917, in Central City, Iowa, the son of Roy S. & Julia Leah (Revell) Crosier. At the age of 4, Lester moved with his family from Manchester to the family farm in the Upper Bay area. He attended the Upper Bay School. He continued to help on the family farm until moving to Manchester. Lester moved to the Penn Center at Delhi and later to the Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood.
Lester was a member of the Golden Congregational Church in rural Ryan, Iowa.
Lester is survived by a sister, Dorothea Daniels of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a niece, Patricia Henrich of Lansing, Michigan; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Lester is preceded in death by his parents, Roy S. & Julia Crosier; a sister, Phyllis Crosier; a brother-in-law, Earl Daniels; and a nephew, David Daniels.
