Henry Weber, 90, of Prairieburg, died Tuesday, February 14, 2006, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a long illness. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006, at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Prairieburg by Father Wayne Droessler. Burial: St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Prairieburg. Friends may call from 3 to 8 pm Friday at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Central City, where a vigil service will be held at 6 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Clara; their children, Elisabeth "Betty? Weber of Webster City, Agnes Mundhank of Cedar Rapids, Steven (Patricia) Weber of Des Moines, James (Linda) Weber of Marion, Richard Weber of Marion, Mark (Margaret) Weber of Marion, David Weber of Cedar Rapids, Keith (Linda) Weber of Toddville, Rae Clare Usovsky of Cedar Rapids, Lois (Mike) Shoop of Central City, Terry (Connie) Weber of Sissionville, West Virginia, Brian (Treesa) Weber of Cedar Rapids, Alvin (Karen) Weber of La Porte City and Patrick Weber of Adel.

Also surviving are a brother, John "Bud? (Veronica) Weber of Delhi; thirty-two grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Clare; great-grandson, Dawson Weber; three brothers, Vernon, Francis, and Carl; and three sisters, Marion Weber, Vivian Weber and Lillian Kula.

Lewis was born the son of John L. and Elizabeth (Faber) Weber on November 25, 1915, in rural Cascade. On November 24, 1941 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Prairieburg he was united in marriage to Clara Holub. Lewis worked at Wilson Food for thirty-one years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Prairieburg and Amalgamate Meat Cutters of America P3. Lewis lived a simple life in the peacefulness of country living. He and his wife, Clara enjoyed polka music and dancing through out Eastern Iowa, attending parish services, family gatherings, especially if there was a card game.

The Weber family would like to thank Sister Janet LeDuc, Denise Lindemann and Father James Blocklinger, who assisted the family at Mercy Medical Center.
