Lila Rose Williams, 86, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Immediate burial following at Wilcox Cemetery, Viola, Iowa.
Lila is survived by her son, Roland (Rebecca) Williams; grandchildren, Christine, Nicholas, Richie, Raymond, Christopher, Kelly, and Bobby Jo; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Joyce (Delbert) Albin of Palo, Dorothy (Eldon) Bencke of England, and Larry Sills of Marion, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Richard (died 2006); sons, Raymond and Randy Williams; and two infant children.
Lila was born July 28, 1930, in Marion, Iowa, the daughter of Clifford and Blanche (Andrews) Sills. She was a natural caregiver. Lila spent many of her years working as a nurse’s aide for several nursing homes, finishing her career at Crestview Acres, Marion.
