Linda L. Entsminger, 68, of Manchester died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Gospel Hall in Manchester. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. , Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Manchester and one hour before services at the Gospel Hall on Saturday. Burial will be in the Baker Cemetery, in Coffins Grove Township, Manchester, IA.
Linda was born September 16, 1944 in Ottumwa, IA, the daughter of John A. and Winifred (Kimball) Martin, Sr. She attended school in Manchester, graduating in 1962. On November 2, 1962, Linda was united in marriage to Garey Entsminger at the Gospel Hall in Manchester.
Linda attended the Gospel Hall in Manchester. Linda sold hats for over 25 years. She was known for her great pies and her canning. Linda enjoyed antique furniture, going to garage sales, and driving her “Lady Bug”. She loved the Lord; and loved her family and grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Garey Entsminger of Manchester; four children, Sherri (Randy) Gentz of Manchester, Deb Gentz of Greeley, David (Connie) Entsminger, and Dan Entsminger both of Manchester; nine grandchildren, Miranda (Cory) Hallberg, Heather (Chad) Lursen, Samantha (Paul) Vogtlin, Tyler Gentz, Joshua (Jolynn) Gentz, Jessica (Jeremy) Ronnebaum, Andrea (Ben) Krieg, Abbie Gentz, Ethan Entsminger; five great-grandchildren, Nathan Gentz, Bo Gentz, Jase Lursen, Kendall Ronnebaum, and Aanden Gentz; two sisters, Sue Ellen (Kenneth) Gentz, Merry Beth Baker; two sisters-in-law, Fran Martin and Marlene Ryan; and a brother-in-law, Harvey (Romona) Entsminger
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Allen Martin, Jr. and Gerald Curtis Martin; one grandson, Andrew Gentz; a sister, Julie Ann Kluiter; and a brother-in-law, Richard Baker.
