Linda Kay Howe

Linda Kay Howe, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, March 2, 2026. A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Linda was born on August 21, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd and Roma Jean (Thompson) Dicken. She graduated from Jefferson High School and went on to marry Allen Howe on May 27, 1967. Linda devoted her life to raising her children and took great pride in caring for her family.

Linda enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, lunches at Olive Tree Restaurant, and special lunch outings with her “GGs.” In her spare time, she could often be found working on word searches, shopping, or occasionally singing karaoke at the Viking Lounge. Above all else, Linda treasured the time she spent with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Allen Howe; children, Todd (Sheri) Howe, Tamara Howe, and Tiffany Howe; her grandchildren, Alyssa Howe, Drake Howe, Sydnee Parrott, Eli Parrott, and Evan Parrott; her sister, Karla (Norb) Sedlak; her sisters-in-law, Mary Beth Dicken and Audrey Howe; her son-in-law, Josh Parrott; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Tracee Parrott; and two brothers, Thomas Dicken and Steve Dicken.
