Lisa Ann Washburn, 54, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Lisa was born on August 15, 1972, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Gerald and Carol (Bauser) Norris. She attended school in Springfield and worked for Brother James Court, where she cared for the mentally disabled. In 2014, Lisa moved to the Cedar Rapids area where she ran a housekeeping service, until her struggles with MS made her unable to work. In 2015, Lisa was united in marriage to Lee Washburn in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Lisa was known as a skilled shopper, a talented decorator, and a dog lover. She had a special gift for adding her own flare to holiday decorations, bringing warmth, color, and personality to family celebrations and was also an amazing cook. Lisa enjoyed riding motorcycles, going out with friends, singing and was a moderator for the Nilla family on TikTok. Lisa always embraced the things that made life joyful. Above all else, spending time with her grandchildren was most important to her. Her presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Lisa is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Lee Washburn; children, Brandon Mochel, Brianna Mochel, and Amanda (Jantzen) Washburn; three grandchildren, Serenity Washburn, India Cratton, and Emma Mochel; siblings, Brent Shuster, Jerry Norris Jr., and Randy Lee Norris; mother-in-law, Marlene Washburn; and brothers-in-law, Lon and Guy Washburn.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Carol and Don Ealey; father, Gerald Norris Sr.; stepsons, Christopher and Michael Washburn; father-in-law, Don Washburn; and brother-in-law, Tod Washburn.
