Louis Lee "Louie" Wesbrook

Louis Lee “Louie” Wesbrook, 90, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at his home. Celebration of Life: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2026, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Louie was born November 30, 1935, in St. Charles, Missouri, the son of Harry and Elise (Kobusch) Wesbrook. He attended Wilson High School in Cedar Rapids. Louie was united in marriage to Jean Slick on August 1, 1960. He retired from Quaker Oats after 36 years. When Louie was younger, he enjoyed golfing. He loved going to the casino with Bill, spending time with his family and friends on poker night and sitting around the campfire. Louie also enjoyed eagle watching and sitting on the porch doing Sudoku.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Wesbrook; children, Jimmie “Bear” Wesbrook, Jacqueline Wesbrook, Daniel (Linda) Wesbrook and Duane (Sherri) Wesbrook; grandchildren, Jessie (Penelope) Wesbrook, Kenny Wesbrook, Jennifer (Jason) Kimball, Jennifer (James) Peterson, Timothy (Megan) Wesbrook, Lindsay (Nick) Hovis, Holly Wesbrook (Ben Wardlow), Kelly (Derek) Kohl, Valerie Van Horn, and Savannah Wesbrook; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Louie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin, Charles and Frankie Wesbrook; sisters, Irene Sova and Ruth Crawley; and best friend, William “Bill” Janacek.
