Madalyn L. Doolin, 52, of 1221 15th Street SE, Cedar Rapids, was found dead in her home, Sunday, May 30, 2004, following a short illness. Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Richard Reed. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include six sisters, Adrienne Howard of East St. Louis, Illinois, Regina Doolin, Donna Jackson, Lousia Harrison and husband Eric, and Lori Doolin, all of Cedar Rapids and Stephanie Bacon of Memphis, Tennessee; seven brothers, Aaron Doolin, Emmitt Doolin and wife Michelle, Dedric Doolin, Derek Doolin, Kyle Doolin and Burdell Doolin all of Cedar Rapids and Steven Bacon of Atlanta, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Madalyn was born on July 27, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Emmitt and Beverly (Chipley) Doolin. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1970. She was employed at Lefebure until retiring due to a disability from blindness. Madalyn attended the Des Moines Adult School of Blindness. She assisted in the upbringing of her niece, Mia Meyer and her foster-nephew, Mac James Jr. Madalyn will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
