Mark Carl Prabel

Mark Prabel, 51, of Fairfax, Iowa, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, in his home following a most courageous battle with cancer. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2006, at Clover Ridge United Methodist Church, Walford, by the Rev. Mike Townsley. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2006, at the church. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include Darla, his wife of 17 years; his father, Carl; two sisters, Carla (David) Kramer of Ventura, California and Nancy Prabel of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are several additional family members and very close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine.
Mark was born December 19, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Carl and Geraldine (Rummells) Prabel. He enjoyed working in his shop, drag racing, driving his street rods and riding his motorcycle. Mark also enjoyed his many pets. Mark was the Production Manager at Weyerhaeuser Company where he was employed for 27 years.
